I don't know why, but I feel like I'm growing apart from the connection I had with my chameleon when he first arrived. I have only had him for about 3 weeks or a bit more. He used to crawl on my hand when I offered it while he was in his cage. He was also a little bit more relaxed when I took him out. Now everything I try to take him out he doesn't really want to and if I do take him out, he kind of "hisses"(i think) I am not sure if this is hissing but he will kind of get rid of all the air he has inside, but he won't open his mouth wide open, kinda just to get rid of the air. But he also kind of has freak attacks when he is outside, he will run so fast like he was trying to flee. Also, he was hand feeding and cup feeding from my hand. From the past couple of days, he has been doubting those methods and eating from them just a little bit. Today he didn't even accept from my hand and was kind of having second thoughts about hand cup feeding. He ate them when I threw the cricket in the cage! Please help idk why my baby is starting to "dislike" me all of the sudden when he seemed like such a sweet boy.

hes probably starting to hit the teen years. they hate us all then mostly. lol.
just keep trying to hand feed, and relax. hell get over it.... probably.

He could also not be feeling well. Has he had a new pet check up and a fecal to make sure he doesn't have parasites?

Exactly same happened to me. get him checked and heed advice from above. my little guy started off loving me now he sometimes loves me and comes out and sometimes hates me. HATES me! I know it sucks... but they can be grumpy little things!

It bears saying again. Chameleons are not 'hand pets', but 'eye pets'. If it is eating, drinking, eliminating and acting healthy in its own environment, let it do so in peace. From everything I've read, it is a rare chameleon that wants to be handled.
