Hello, I keep panther chameleons in wooden vivs and don't really have a problem with humidity but I'm picking up two jacksons chameleons end of the week and I've been advised not to use wooden vivs and use mesh cages to allow for better ventilation, I've got reptibreeze vivs, I'm using live plants, I will be misting twice a day and I've also set drippers up, everything is perfect with the viv, temps the lot but humidity is around 40% so how can I raise it? And ideas would be really helpful I want it perfect before they arrive, thanks

I use a reptibreeze mesh cage and have live plants in there with dripper set up all day and mist for around 5-10 mins 3 times a day and the humidity is fine, were r u measuring the humidity? At the basking point? If so the humidity will be higher in the middle of the cage, but if u wanted to you could put like plastic or a shower curtain cut to size around the back and sides and keep the door and roof free for ventilation and that will keep himidity up too hope this helps :)

I did order a fogger 3 weeks ago but it never turn up witch has really annoyed me. Il try wrapping the sides that's a good idea. People have recomended adding substrate but I really don't want to I don't use it in any of my vivs and arnt planing on doing now.also if anyone out there keeps jacksons I here that you should keep dusting to a minimal with these but get the gut loading right, am I right in thinking this

Hi Kev, I use a wooden viv, seen as we're not in the right climate for mesh vivs. This is how I get around this.... I'm rocking a lucky reptile super fog for humidity and lucky reptile fans for ventilation and airflow :)

P.S where did u get your jacksons from?
