Plant repotting

So I have pretty much all I need for tank and I just put the plants and all the decor in. I did wash the plant off once I got it, but I heard that you don't have to re-pot the plant if you just cover the exposed soil in rocks. Is that true?

You can choose a prettier pot, and then Google how to repot a plant. It's simple, really. I would explain in detail but I have to leave.

Or you can find a cheap bag of river rocks at, say, home depot, and cover the soil with it and you'll have no problems.
