Plant recommendations?

Picked up a beautiful little bougainville for Leo and Calais outdoor cage, any other suggestions? I like the vine plants because they cover a lot but it is an old outdoor rabbit cage with all wire and it does have a bottom that was used to catch poop so it's a big kind of tub that i could always plant in. I want it to look pretty as well as be safe. It is in a full sun location so I will also need plants that give shade cover as well as if it rains provide protection. Any big leaf safe plant suggestions as well?

Hibiscus... They have big leaves BIG flowers the Cham can safely munch on and it's got nice vertical branches and it does best outside

oh forgot to mention the cage is raised and is about 3 ft long by 2 ft high
so hibiscus wouldn't fit. But I am going to get a hibiscus for them because they like to munch on it.

I don't know if a bouganvilla is such a good idea. They have nasty thorns and could potentially injure your chameleons. Just my two cents.

Bouganvilla will get thorns as they mature. BIG, thick spiky thorns that could severely injure your chameleon. They thorn like a rose bush but worse. They probably are put on the list for the sake of meaning if the leaves or blooms were eaten that they are not poisonous. I live in Florida and we are inundated with Bouganvilla down here. Unless you have some kind of hybrid that does not produce thorns then I would advise to get rid of that plant!!! Do some research on the plant itself in its full grown state and you will see what I am talking about! My neighbor has two in his backyard that hang over my fence and I dread having to cut them. They poke right through gardening gloves. Imagine what they would do to a chameleons body. Quoted off Wikipedia: "They are thorny, woody vines growing anywhere from 1-12 meters tall, scrambling over other plants with their spiky thorns. The thorns are tipped with a black, waxy substance"

ha check out this cham impailer right here..from a matured plant..its filled with thes..good looking flowers but sucks it has thorns..
