Plant ID

Can someone identify this plant and let me know if it is safe? It is growing outside and I have chopped it up multiple times but it keeps coming back stronger than ever. I figured if it is that hardy I could use it in the enclosure if safe.

My vote's for Syngonium neglectum. It's a Mexico native that's been spread around and become invasive in some countries. For syngoniums in general, all I can find in terms of toxicity is the presence of insoluble calcium oxalates (which are also present in commonly used plants like pothos and philodendrons, and the reason they're considered toxic to mammals).

I wouldn't use it though, mostly because there's a lot of plants that look similar (Sagittaria and Peltandra) and it'll be tough to ensure it's 100% safe without a proper ID.
