My botany sucks. Would someone please identify these plants for me???? I think they were mislabeled, and I obviously don't want to use them if they are not safe......thanks a bunch!!

The first is a pothos the other is a dwarf umbrella tree. Honestly, most common house plants are non-toxic so I wouldn't worry too much.

My adult veiled munches on occasion. He likes the hibiscus flowers and leaves for sure. He hasn't eaten any other plant I've given him, but with my luck.....

first is called the "shell ginger"
it is toxic and should not be used with chams

the second is Schefflera actinophylla a.k.a. umbrella tree, not to be confused with dwarf umbrella tree
please read this

Thank you...this is why I ask for help on this. They WERE labeled incorrectly. Or in the case of the umbrella plant, not specific enough. I brought them home, washed and replanted them, put them in the free ranges, looked at them and had a feeling, and removed them. I'll go plant shopping again. In the meantime, I'll enjoy these in a cham free room :).

My bad, that first plant is clearly not pothos. (No more late night posts for me.)

It's either a varigated Alpina zerumbet (Shell Ginger) or perhaps spathiphylum (Peace Lilly).

bamburanta

The first one is a _Ctenanthe_ and its in the prayer-plant family; probably fine for most chams. Gingers are somewhat related and their fine too. Second one is the bad Scheff; as others said, don't use it.
