Pie-bald Crested Geckos

My mom thinks they are adorable, lol. She first saw them on the Pangea Forum page header. I'm not sure what I think of them, they are quite exotic looking and just cute but unnatural looking. Do you've any idea how much they are selling for? I'd be curious to find out.

I don't like the look of them or the chameleons. Chams with too much black on just look permanently bruised to me and I don't like the pinkness of non pigmented skin. I like a nice splash of colour! Hairless rats and guinea pigs don't do much for me either, lol!

I was just thinking how they look almost like a hairless albino rat! ;)

Big Bucks $$$$$ I'm saying at least a 1k or more.

edit more like $35,000 for the whole group. Matt at Pangea bought them. Time to corner the Market and run a monopoly. All kidding aside Matt is probably one of the best people to actually get him. I really like pangea, hope they don't have to up there prices to make up for this buy. :)

Thats one of the coolest crested geckos I have ever seen its amazing what they can do with selective breeding considering that this animal was just discovered in 1994. One of the easiest geckos to keep for sure.

Well I like them slightly less now for that price! I couldn't mention paying that much especially for something so small. They are unique for sure, I wonder what the future holds. I love my freestyles but I like larger species such as leachies. I'm picking up one this week =D

What are freestyles?

I like day geckos and leaf tails. Not much into Rhacs

Darn t9, I definitely meant cresties. Day geckos are cool but I like to be able to handle my reptiles and I was told repeatedly they are aggresive. I've no experience nor do I care about being bitten but just haven't gotten into them. Leaf tails look awesome, but I don't see them often. I bought a gargoyle as well...guess I'm a Rhac addict.

Day geckos are definitely more skiddish, real jumpy and easy to freak out and drop tails I've notice.Very energetic geckos and actively do summersaults and rolls when hunting crickets. Never seen any aggression. Leaftails  I might end up selling all my chams to make more room. Ive been bitten by crested geckos probably more times than anything I own. They would attack the water nozzle thinking its food coming in.

does anybody know where i can get "designer" crested geckos i guess thats what they are called.??

i think thats what I'm going to do sell all my chams for cresteds so much easier and less expensive!

Few sponsors here sell them.I don't know what they actually have but Pangea Reptiles are sponsors here as well as Chameleons Northwest. You can check out or there is always KS classifieds or Fauna. I just sold some nice looking geckos for dirt cheap on here I had in classifieds. Some awesome breeders I let go.

I saw your leaftails and they are quite special. At first I couldn't see...darn you. I already have a gecko list...now it's bigger! You have some mean cresties or maybe mine are nice, they have never ever threatened to bite. Even my skiddish jumper (that I just sold) hasn't bitten. The only reptile I've been bitten by is a Halmahera gecko. He was beautiful but I bled for awhile, nasty bugger.

They weren't mean I called them fierce lol. They were just hungry After they realized whatever was coming there way wasn't food they were normal calm non biting geckos. Id stick a baby spoon with CGD on it and they would attack the spoon. They wouldn't just out of nowhere bite though:) Yea I used to have tokays so Ive been bitten quite a bit.

I just posted few more pictures of leaf tails I hatched a few days ago at the end of that thread.
