Take him in for a warm shower
Besides mister, hand mist him with really warm water. It helps with the shed and the itchies!

Depends on the age of the chameleon. For a baby chameleon the shed can be over in a couple of hours if the chameleon is approaching adulthood in may in fact take a week or longer. Make sure to increase misting during this time as it will help with the shedding process.

When I first received my little guy he was shedding and it took two days (He's two and a half months old). Not very normal from what i've read on here, but its possible.
