Parson Growth

I never really thought of asking but since I am actually growing a Parson instead of buying an adult as I did back in the 80's-90's, anybody out there have stats on how much weight a young Parson should be putting on yearly and monthly for the first three years of life?

As for mine, Atlas was weighed yesterday. He now weighs 258g. His last weigh in was on July 15 and came in at 179g. So in the last 3 months he has gained 79g so a little more than 25g a month.

Primary diet is Dubia. Secondary diet is anything he wants.

I weighed my male and female from Garrett today.

My female weighed 233g. She has gained 178g since April.

My male weighed 242g which is an increase of 187g since April.

Both are not over fed, so I would say this is good growth.

I just weighed my largest male from this clutch, he's only 225g so I would say you guys are doing a great job raising them. I have pretty cool temps up here so it makes sense mine are growing a little slower, my greenhouse has been dipping into the 60s this past month. I'm definitely not shy with the food. The growth of Jann's male doesn't surprise me, isn't she down in Florida? hot hot hot.
As a general rule orange eyes are the smallest parsonii color morph, I've seen adult males range anywhere from 500-1000 grams. The sire is somewhere in the high 600s and he's over 9 years old.
There's a chameleon news article about parsonii growth.. (if you haven't seen this already)

Thanks Garrett. Solid article. I don't get those in my cave.

So growth is on track for Atlas I would say. He does like his daytime temps of 80-82F and eats...well everything

Yep yep, you're doing a great job with him. That boy is gonna have some impressive rostrals as an adult:)
I've learned a lot with this first batch, I think I'm going to try keeping my future babies warmer for the first 12 months. They do seem to like temps in the low 80s, contrary to what most of the literature says. They will routinely bask up at the top of their cages when the sun is out.
