parasites or maggots in live crickets?

i have a question from what happened along time ago! so the story began when i bought my bearded dragon, i will buy crickets from my local petstore and you know gutload them an feed them, but when they used to die all you see when you opened up the lid a bunch of flies similar to fruitflies?! but ik how a fruitfly looks like? so this got me thinking. i did a little expeirment and put around 10 crickets in a jar with a lid. the crickets finally died and around 3-4 days later you will see little worms?(maggots?) and day by day they grew until a 1/4 size. after they grew they turned into these little brown hard cocoons and around a week big house looking flies emerged and were bumping all over the jar so i set them free! after that i was very disgusted. were those parasite? would the crickets already infected with the larvae? how did they get it? dont flies lay eggs on dead things, not infect them? im asking and im very worried because im going to buy crickets from there for my new chameeon?!

this is why I hate to feed crix- they are nasty - I do feed them , I have one cham who is just now changing over to roaches - did you gut load these - maybe they ate the egg off the gut load - did you take any pics ? They sound like fr/ flies
I would not worry a lot, but you need to feed more than just crix - try changing to or adding roaches, as well as other feeders :)
next time, freeze your jar first, I would not just " let them free"
