Panther mouth ulcer

Took my 6 year old (I was sure he was older than that!) panther to the vets today. He has a small abscess on the inside of his lower jaw, possibly from an insect bite. The vet cleaned his wound and he got prescribed Baytril, 0.1ml every couple of days for a fortnight.
Does this sound like appropriate treatment?

Yes, just be sure to keep him well hydrated to protect his kidneys.
