panther changed colour

My red bar ambanja has developed a patch of colour on his back overnight, the little spines are white and a small patch below it is bright yellow and red he's 10 months old, is this normal?

Can you post a picture? The white spines make me worried he's been burned.

Trying to post a pic now, i dont think its a burn there is nothing he can burn himself on

A burn doesn't have to be direct contact. Sitting under a light that's too hot can cause a burn from several inches away.
