Panther Cham Lost His Mojo?!

My male cham seems to be more interested in getting out to climb on
me rather than his female! I can't open the enclosure door without him
making a dash for me.
I put the female in with him yesterday and he went near her after a while,
shook his head a few times but that was it, just more interested climbing
on the mesh front trying to get out
She has been putting her head underneath his chin but he's not bothered.
I was wondering if it could have anything to do with his sperm plugs?
Any suggestions please?!!!

I would recommend putting them together on a free range tree or large plant. Allow him to get use to the tree first before introducing her.

He has mated with her before, last Dec. There's also lots of foliage and branches in the enclosure too.

From what you are saying it seems like he's not happy in his cage. I free range both my chameleons and they are quite happy living out of a cage. I was thinking he might be happier and feel more like mating in a more natural setting....you've got to admit a cage is not natural.
