So my panther eggs have started to sweat, and now I'm starting to sweat as well. I have this huge feeling that i'm not ready for them. All I have is one glass terrarium, and a few bins to house them in. For food I have prepared pinhead crickets, baby red rider roaches, and house caught fruit-flies. I have a few plants for them, but not enough.

My questions are;
1) How do I house them? Do I have to separate males from females? Also, how many can I have in one cage, and for how long until they have to be completely isolated?
2) how many times a day do they need to be misted? Fed?
3) do they need any extra vitamins ? Calcium perhaps?
4) are there any detailed blogs about Ambilobe Panther Chameleon Babies and Breeding?

Thank you so much guys, will have pics soon :D

I house mine in plastic bins with windows cut out on two sides about 5" x 5" for ventilation. I make 3 tiers for them to climb on out of hardware cloth, with plastic leaves in it. You do not have to separate the males and females for a few months. There are other baby bin methods, you can use the search engine. I think 10 per tub is good and you can start to separate them by size as they start to grow.

I mist them 6 to 8 times and feed them all they can eat 3 or 4 times a day. They eat a lot so have plenty of fruit fly cultures going and I order pinheads by the thousands weekly.

I supplement rep cal calcium without D3 everyday and with D3 once a week or twice a week ( it depends on how much natural sun they get ) and herptivite twice a month

You can PM if you have anymore questions

you should definitely be ready with multiple fruit fly cultures and pinheads. Neonates will eat like machines. Plastic bins are used most of the time to house them together until they turn a couple of months old and need to be separated. Males and females can live together while young but once about 3-4 months old you should start separating them.
They need to be misted and fed multiple times a day.

Gotcha, I will prepare their bins immediately. Thank you for you input :D For their food, is it okay to replace fruitflies with baby red riders, dubias, and pinheads? I already have a fruitfly infestation at my house right now, I think my girlfriend would kill me if I introduced more of them into the house:eek:

Speaking of which, has anyone every tried harvesting their own fruit flies? i.e. creating spawning habitat within a sealed container with small 1/16 in holes, and then harvesting all the hatchlings? I try to be as economical as possible, I'm on a strict budget at the moment...but would love to be able to provide a variety of a diet to my lil panther neonates :D

Thanks again guys :)
