Palm fronds for bioactive?

I’m all out of leaf litter and need to replace it in my bioactive enclosures. Wondering if I can use dead palm fronds instead...have a bunch of those in my backyard.

I think palm frons would be fine. no sap, no poison.

I use palm fronds, they break down slow(good thing).
