Outside at night?

Does anybody keep their chameleon outside at night? It's supposed to get down to 66 tonight and be 82 tomorrow. I don't really see much of a reason to bring him inside other than the chance of rain is 50%. However, he could probably benefit from a little shower. His cage is on my porch and there are no steps for an animal to climb up or any tree's up against it. He is in a screen cage bought from DIY. What would you all suggest? Is it safe to leave him out there? Thanks.

The temps would be fine, so no need to worry about that. No one can tell you if he will be secure and safe for sure, only you can decide that for yourself. Who knows what lurks around in the night. If you feel that you have checked everything out and deem it safe, then I would say go with it. Make sure that if he is out during that day that he always will have shade if his cage is getting direct sunlight at any point.

Thanks for the reply. I'll probably leave him outside. Maybe I'll secure the door to his cage with a bungie cord just in case. If it did rain would you see that as an issue at all?

mine are out all summer every summer. Once night temps remain above 50 in the spring they go out and they don't come back inside until temps again are forcast to drop below 50 in the fall.
Rain is no problem. I tie my cages to rustic 2x4 tables which in turn are either staked into the ground or have runners front to back making them impossible to tip.

I didn't think about tieing it to something. It has four live plants inside the cage now so I figured that would be enough. However, I'm sure I could tie it to the porch rails to keep it going from anywhere. Thanks for bringing that up. I appreciate it. Thanks for the info as well. I think Moe will be spending LOTS of time outside from here on out.
