Outdoor enclosure plants for zone 9b (Central California)

I'm in the planning stages for an outdoor enclosure, so chams can get fresh air and sun when weather is nice. I have small apartment, so plants must be able to withstand outdoor temps year around, can't bring them in. Would love some thoughts, especially others living in similar climate. I used FL Chams' safe plant list. What safe plant lists does everyone else use?

Also, I am surprised that not many people mention the planting zone they live in when discussing outdoor cham set ups.

*Planting zones are USDA assigned, by average minimum winter temperatures, and all plants have a recommended planting zone range, that can tell you how well they will fare outdoors. You can find your zone by zip code here: http://planthardiness.ars.usda.gov/PHZMWeb/ *

Anyways! I am looking at honey suckle, hardy hibiscus (which withstands cold temperatures way better than the traditional tropical hibiscus) and a rubber tree. All three are on the FL Chams safe list (https://flchams.com/chameleon-safe-plant-list/). Rubber trees are recommended for zone 10-11, but I've read they can do okay in zone 9b.

Finding vines that are perennial and okay in climates lower than zone 10 is hard.

So thoughts? Recommendations? Any experience with these plants?

Thanks so much!!

I don't know your zone well but you can bump the hardiness a zone or two by covering the plants with clear plastic sheeting during the colder months when your cham is probably indoors anyway.
