Thats too bad! Good job with him though. I've read their care is similar to a Veileds, are you caring for him the same way as your Veileds?

That's pretty much how I care for all of them.
He is a big drinker, but other than that ... very much like the calyptratus.

This statement is not entirely true and should not be misinterpreted to mean that you can follow veiled husbandry to successfully keep a T. cristatus for example.

The enclosures for the montanes are different as is the supplement schedule.
They are all watered the same amount each day and all adults are fed every two to three days.
Temperatures are warmer for the veiled and Furcifer species.
Anywho .. I made a very general statement that was not accurate and this is my disclaimer.

ha ha ha.....give him time everyone. Give him time. :p

Exactly! I used to laugh everytime he said he was going to stick to 1 or 2 species. :D Brad, I've still got a nice female for ya....although she's wearing gravid colors again.

Well, you could always wait till next year before you get some more ;), Ive got a surprise cooking.

I love this species, they have to be one of my favorites.

Thanks everyone, he is looking great.
Have to give credit to Chad and Darci for getting him started on the road to looking good!
He continues to make improvements here ... he had a pretty soft grip with his front feet when he arrived, on one foot he wouldn't even curl his toes around a branch. That has changed and his grip is pretty strong with all four feet now.
He is a great eater and drinks a lot too. I have been dusting every feeder at every meal with calcium.

New picture!
He has (all but for a few bits on his dorsal spines) completed his first shed here.
I'm still without a proper camera and photo booth makes him look darker than he is ... his colors are really quite bright now!
