Orchids safe to eat?

Are orchids safe for a veild chameleon if he eats it it's not on the safe plant list but im reading mixed reviews

There are many species of orchids, and it may depend on the species. Here is a link to a website that lists harmful plants by species name. If you know the species, you can check. Keep in mind, though, that not every species that is harmful is on the list yet, so it's not the definitive answer.

This organization also lists known edible plants. I just checked for one of my orchids, Ludisia discolor, and it is not on the edible list or the harmful list, so I won't put it in a cham enclosure just to be safe.
