Oolong is roughly 1.5 years old now. In this time I have only taken him out of his enclosure a dozen times or so because he just holds on for dear life inside. But I do like to get him outside when it’s nice or I need to do a thorough cleaning of his cage. Other than that I just hand feed him a couple times a week and he always climbs onto my hand if it is inside his enclosure. My dad was over recently and has never held a chameleon before so I figured what the heck he hasn’t been out in a while. I take him out and he refuses to climb onto my dad’s hand. After a couple minutes of trying he finally does and I quickly move my hand away before he can change his mind. Almost instantly he turns around stands on his back feet and starts reaching for me. I imagine that he just feels safer with me but it was cute to see him behave that way.
