? on dubia's

I just rec. my shipment today of 100 dubia's,, i was searching the forums but couldnt find my question. I will be spliting this in half with a good friend that has a panther also. My question is can you tell which are male & female?
And does anyone use a bedding for them or just egg cartons?

iam pump'd to start a colony b/c i think iam really done with crickets!!!

The males have wings and the females don't. The males are skinner than the females. Just the egg crates work great for for me.

In order for them to breed they need one side of the bin around 85-90 and the other side room temp. You can place a human heating pad on low under one side of the bin.

I found this photo on another forum so I cannot take credit for it. But this would allow you to sex them before they are full size. Once full size it is easy to tell males from females as others have suggested.
