was working fine, although when cycling through on/ off/ auto I would turn it on for some extra water, then the next button push it would say Auto but still be pumping. I would have to hit it again off, then another time for auto.
That being said now it no longer turns on when on Auto.....but still acts the same as regards to above when cycling through settings.

Anyone else have this occur? Found a fix?

It's a problem with something in the timer, unfortunately. When mine went out when it was still under warranty, Marty with MistKing replaced and said he was unhappy with the manufacting quality of the timers for reasons just like this. He felt the failure rate was too high. I imagine that's a big party of the reason for the entirely new timer device.

If you are handy with electronics at all, you might pop it open and see if you can tell if something blew. The hubby suspected it was one of the capacitors, but he didn't fiddle with it enough to definitely figure the problem out.

Sad thing is while it's the older model it's only been out of the box for a month

I had one right out of the box that never even came on. Marty basically told me the same thing he told Lathis. He was not happy with the timers and that he no longer offers them for sale because of their faulty nature. Sorry this happened, but if it has only been out the box for a month, I would shoot Marty an email and let him know what happened. Marty definitely stands behind his products.
