Now I Go To The Mist

I've had my AquaZamp hooked up now for about 2 weeks. At first Ego would go away from the mist and hide under some leaves then come out for a drink once the mister turned off. The last two mornings he has walked quickly to the path of one nozzle and walked through it getting both sides of his body wet. He then walks off, cleans his eyes and its back to hunting. Glad he got used to it!

That is great! I just hand mist but I will soon be switching to a mist king as soon as I can get my new enclosure finished. My cham doesn't seem to like the mist but I'm hopping he comes around .

Mine started liking it more when I warmed the water up pretty good.

If I may ask how do you warm the water and how warm do you have it ?
I am using a fish tank heater in my bucket set at 78 degrees,I check to make sure it is not getting slimey and so far so good but I have never seen any threads on this subject

I use the AquaZamp mister and it comes with a 4 gallon square plastic bucket for its holding water and has a lid. I bought a 10 gallon heat pad that sticks to the outside of the bucket and it heats it up to about 10-15 degrees higher than ambient temp. In my house in winter ambient doesn't usually fall below 71F so mid to upper 80's

I have never seen my guys use it at all, but I got it to mist because I am not home to do it myself, so I guess I'm not 'supposed' to see them use it!!??

All I have ever seen is them running away when it goes off, but I'm sure they do use it.

I have seen Noogie stick his head under the dripper, and Smeagie will actuall bite and chew on his (dripper is a soft plastic transfer pipett attached to 1/4'' tubing) and fight with it trying to rip it from the roof of his cage!! LOL

Yup! I know I don't like cold showers...

If you have a spare UTH around, you can just put it under your water
resivour to help keep it from being so cold.
