I am getting a veiled chameleon in a few weeks and I am not quite sure about him. He only turns red. There was one other in the clutch like him and she is a female. Someone said he was a sunburst and was very rare. I just wanted to clarify if this was true. That is him in the picture on the vine.He was born the begining of Feb.

Put the picture in your thread. That way, it can be clicked on and it will enlarge.
As it is, we can't see the veiled in your avatar.

He looks a little red in the picture. But baby veileds can show a variation of colors at this age. Is he this color under the heat lamp? Is he like this all the time?
Sunburst veileds are not rare. Now if that guy stayed red to adulthood, you may have something very nice.

I agree with Lance here. Babies go from green to brownish quite often. It will depend on the temps and his mood. Baby sunbursts look the same as normals. The term sunburst is more to depict a high amount of a certain color. You will see they use this term for high yellows and high orange.

he is usually green with tiny hints of red from what i am told and the other pics i have seen. he only turns red. the other babies don't , just him and the one female.

Thank you for your help. I have been doing tons of reseach on chameleons because Zee is going to be our first one. You will probably see me on alot with some more questions. We are all so excited about getting him.
