Not incubate pygmy eggs in the dark?

I was researching egg incubation of another species and ran across instructions stating that all chameleon eggs should be incubated in the dark except for pygmy eggs. We just had a bearded lay a clutch of 3 last week and they are incubating in a cabinet in our office. Do the eggs need light exposure?

*BUMP*

i need clarification about this, i was repotting ange loves chams pygmy tank today and found 4 beautiful nice eggs. they have obviously grown a heck of a lot since she laid them and will possibly be hatching within the next 15-20 days. i mixed up some coco husk with vermiculite and put them in a small container with 4 small holes on the top. they are in her closet right now but max temps in there are only around 74-75. could some body with brev breeding experience help me out?

Well I leave my pygmy eggs in the substrate of their enclosure, so they're in the dark in there. Nice healthy babies come out!

i already took them out because i had to re do the whole cage. i know nice healthy babies are incubated that way, i need information from people who have hatched the eggs themselves. thank you though.

Well if they naturally incubate in the dark, why would it be any different in a container? I've done both.

I have incubated my pygmy eggs in my closet which is dark in there and have had 4 nice healthy baby pygmies hatch out. I incubate them in a deli cup. I am always so scared to leave them in the enclosure. I always think something will go wrong. I incubate at room temp which varies from 76-78F

Is there light at night? :D

Wish I knew the answer to help but... seems like you already have the answer!
