Not Eating

Hey gang, my little Veil hasn't eaten since monday... he wouldn't take crickets yesterday and i dropped two in this morning and he didn't touch them.He ate out of my had sunday the day after i got him and he ate 5 large crickets monday.. is he just still full from monday or should he eat everyday? And i can also see his little ribs... is that normal for babies? Im guessing he's about 4 to 6months old... he's about 3 to 3and half inches from nose to ventral.. Thanks:confused:

You might want to start a thread in the HEALTH forum, complete the How To Ask For Help form, put that in your opening post.

There's a big difference between 4 months and 6 months so maybe you should post pictures with size references (not your hand...something we can all agree is the same size, ideally a ruler but a diet coke can works).

Chameleons often stop eating as much when they hit adolescence. People often start feeding them every other day when they hit 5 or 6 months. So, it's very possible that's what's going on.

You can typically see ribs on chameleons because of the way they are built. They aren't like some animals where seeing ribs is a sign of starvation. A better place to look is the base of the tail. If that doesn't look meaty you might have a concern.

Ok... i guess i was just little nervous since he's my first cham.. lol he ate some waxworms last night and a couple this morning, so all it good.. phew!;)

I feed those as kinda a treat, not full diet.. he just ate two large crickets just now, so i think he's fine.. i think he was just full from eating on sunday and monday..
