Hi there! New to the forum, well actually registering! lol I have an approx 5 month old female veiled cham and she seems to be on the small side and i'm just wondering what is the "normal" size she should be around this age? Yes, i do know they all grow at their own pace but still would like a general idea.

Here is some details, ask if more is needed.
Sex: Female
Basking temp: between 85 - 90
Night temp: between 65 - 70
Eating: very good eating habits, about 15 half inch crickets a day give or take a few. Calcium dusted every 2nd feeding and reptivite dusted once every 2 weeks. She also enjoys a few butter worms as a treat once every 2 weeks. (NOTE: I will be giving her more variation as for worms, but where she is still on the small side it makes me nervous.) Tried a few wax worms but she didn't like them.
Crickets are gutloaded with various greens, spinach, apple, potato, orange, and oats.
Humididty: I mist 3-4 times daily and have a dripper that i turn on twice daily for 20 min. I mist for about 3 mins. Humidity levels sit around 65%.
Enclosure: 2ft X 2ft X 4 ft ALL screen enclosure. Lots of branches and fake plants just added a real pothos that is growing well. NO substrate!
Lighting: Zoo Med Reptisun 5.0 UVB & Zoo Med 60W UVA Blue Bulb.

Think I got everything, but let me know if you need more info! Suggestions are also welcome! :)

Oh yeah! Forgot to add she also gets outside in the real sun any chance we get to we love enjoying our sunny backyard!

Welcome to the forums. I think you should lower her basking temps to 83 or 84. You need to start cutting back on her food too. She needs a large variety of well gutloaded feeders.

As you said they all grow at different paces and I believe it has allot to do with there care when young. Post some pictures of her please. You can see pictures of my female here: https://www.chameleonforums.com/mem...ure27907-lottie-15-weeks-old-7-27-14-439.html

I have a few blogs for you about general care, egg laying and the laying bin. She is at the age where she needs a laying bin in her enclosure at all times. They can and often do lay eggs without a male even being around.

Thank you for replying! Okay so as soon as i get home i will lower her basking temp and what would you recommend me lowering her cricket amounts to? like 10 half inches a day? Everywhere i have read people have said they feed quite a bit i.e 20+ per day but that did sound a bit much to me. lol As for the laying bin I have the supplies at my home ready to go but as for the laying bin i was told not to put it in her cage till i see her hanging around the bottom of her cage, so this is incorrect? As for everything else, does it all seem to look okay from my original post? Once again thank you for you reply!! :)
