Night time habits

Hello all! I have just woken up from night 2 with my new buddy Remy. Yesterday morning and this morning, when I woke up and went to check on the lights/timer, I noticed Remy was clinging to the top of the cage. He was sleeping, but I can't imagine holding onto the screen mesh all night is comfortable. I was wondering if this is common, or if I can do something to make him more comfortable in his habitat. After the lights clicked on, he woke up and moved down the screen onto the door, I was able to coax him onto my hand and then onto a branch... after a few candid shots from my camera lol!

Here's what i got:
Remy - 4 month old Ambilobe Panther
18x18x36 reduced by 10" on the bottom
75 watt basking bulb in a ceramic dome
18" reptisun in a 20" hood
Basking spots range from 80-92 degrees, 75 at the lowest part of the enclosure during the day, house is climate controlled at 70 degrees all day/night
He is not near a vent or window
He has been eating very well, and even drinking already.
Dusting with rep cal calcium with no d3 daily, will do supplements and d3 as scheduled

He is from CA, so maybe he just needs to adjust? Should I get a night time bulb? Is this common and I am just being a worry wort?

This is fairly common for young ones. They are light enough to climb on the screen and hang from the ceiling. I wouldn't worry too much. My adult Panther has spend the night clinging to the side screen. It seems uncomfortable to us, but their muscles work much differently from ours. I don't think he would do it if it was terribly uncomfortable for him.

They also usually outgrow this behavior, but if he spends a lot more time climbing the screen than the branches/plants (during the day) it can indicate that either he needs more branches/plants to climb on or he's ready for a larger enclosure.

No bulb is needed at night. They actually need complete darkness to get proper sleep. Also, your evening temps are well within range. He could get a night drop down to 60 F without a problem.

Enjoy your new guy!

Thank you so much! I was a little concerned he was getting cold and looking for heat! He has been on every branch and vine in the enclosure so far, and seems to really enjoy zooming around and exploring when not basking. I guess I am just being an over-protective dad!
