Newly acquired Veiled Chameleon

Just received a Veiled Chameleon as a rescue animal. I raised iguanas, plated lizards, geckos, anoles and others but never a Chameleon. I guess I was intimidated by talk of difficulty raising them. Anyway, I don't see an option to upload a photo on this post. The chameleon I've acquired has an enlarged Veil Crown. I've never seen one this thick. I would like to know if it is normal.
I uploaded some photos to a site called Chameleon Health Care Inc. before I realized it is a Shrink for people.

Welcome to the forums. Congrats on your first chameleon. I keep veileds and they are awesome chameleons. I would highly recommend a vet visit and a fecal with an experienced chameleon vet to find out what's going on with his casque. It could be MBD. I'm attaching my blog for new keepers. First of all, I would like to say I found it humorous that you sent your pics to a shrink for humans. I bet they spent the day scratching their heads lol. Now for the not so funny issue at hand. I would say you should at least have a vet take a look at it. It doesn't look normal to me. I have never seen a healthy Veiled look like that.
