Hello all. First of all thanks for all the helpful info on this site and thanks to Epic Chameleons for letting me know about it.

I am just getting started on this chameleon journey and I am excited to learn all I can before I get my first one. I will be getting a panther within a few months and want to learn all I can before I get one. I am located in SW Washington so anyone in my area please feel free to introduce yourself as we may have the chance to meet sometime in the future.

I do have a question about something that I have seen mentioned on this site several times. What is a hold back?

Again thanks for all the great info and so happy to be a new member! :)

Welcome to the forum ! This is a great place to learn -
A holdback would be a baby that the breeder kept back because he was thinking of adding to his/her breeding project - they are a little older usually. Some breeders will pick a couple of likely good lookers to see how their colors will develop later on and end up keeping one and letting the others go-
