Well i just got my first set of chams in over 7 years, we went to the NARBC show yesterday and picked up a pair of red bar ambanjas. They both look a little stressed and the girl has not eaten yet, is this normal? i am trying to cup feed, but the breeder said they were already cup trained. I also noticed this morning that my girl has a very swollen ankle that we didnt notice yesterday, she is very active but it has me concerned. She also has one of her eyes closed a lot, is this a hydration issue? Im trying to get everyone settled in but these things have me concerned, how worried should i be? thanks for your help.
the first three pics are the girl (3 months old)
the forth is the boy(4 months old)

Hey I think we talked for a bit at the tiki tiki booth. I might be wrong though.

I talked to a lot of people yesterday, i don't know, its totally possible, im sorry i dont remember. What did you think of the show, i was overwhelmed, i had never been to one before. There are so many snakes... and people.

Who did you buy from? I would try and be in as much contact with the breeder as you can. You don't want to over stress yourself about the issue with the cham, but you want to document everything so that corrective action can be taken.

I would leave the chams alone for a bit. What kind of lighting do you have? What is the habitat like? Do you have a misting system or is someone home to mist them during the day? What are teh temps like? If you could post some pics maybe there are some things that need to be addressed with the animal's cage.

I was at the show both days. The show was busy and big.

i bought from mb reptiles, i called them, and emailed twice, no reply yet. I dont think its me that caused any of the problems because she has only been in her new home a few hours, i just got her yesterday and didnt get home till this morning. Plus the boy i bought from them looks good, and is eating crickets like mad, i dont know what to do right now.

Dumb question but are they sharing a cage?

Even if the girl had issues when you got her, it would be a good idea to answer these questions to head off future problems!

Cage Info:
Cage Type - Describe your cage construction (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions?
Lighting - What brand, model, and type of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule?
Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?
Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?
Location - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?

Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care?
Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon?
Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders?
Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule?
Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?
Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?
History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.
Current Problem - The current problem that you are concerned about.

ive got them in separate screen cages each 12x18x24, they each have a ficus and two biovines, for heat i have just regular 60watt house bulbs, and for uv im using a reptisun 5.0. ive got a dripper setup, but im still trying to figure out the drainage... and i mist them several times today. they seem to hate beeing misted, but they looked a little dehydrated to me so ive been giving them lots of water. The boy is eating good out of the cup, but the girl is just moving around the top of the cage not really hunting for food and has yet to eat as far as i know. once again, today is the first day i have had them. what should i do
