Hello,

so my panthers are mating at 26th december and my female is starting look bigger , so i've prepare the laying bin with a big pot with soil on it .

and now i have some question for the incubation media , i've bought a vermiculite yesterday and after a few research on the net , some people suggest to boil the vermiculite before using it , is it true ? and how do i set up the box ( how many vermiculite should i use , etc)
and its usually a water on top of the box cover that caused by moisture inside the box should i wiped it down ? and is it ok to mist the egg ?

Thank you !

I have never done anything to the vermiculite. I use it straight out of the bag.

Regarding moisture on the underside of the lid (and other sidesof the container for that matter) you want to create an eco system in the container....so it's not a problem if there is moisture on the insides of the container or underside of the lid....as long as the vermiculite was the right moisture when it was put in the (dry) container to begin with. To test the vermiculite for moisture...take a fist full of it and squeeze it. You should only be able to squeeze out one or two drops of water.
