New Veiled difficulty

So I ordered horn worms and silk worms for my veiled today. I got him Monday morning and offered him crickets each day since but he has not ate them. His previous owner said he isn't a big fan of them. I am just worried because I want him to eat. He is a year old. Seems pretty darn shy, I mean I ah net even seen him drink. I just hope he comes around when I get these worms. I am also going to start breeding horn worms! So I will keep everyone updated on that. If anyone has advice please share

Try superworms or blue bottle flies. Even my picky chams can't say no. Especially to the buzzing flies.

Ha ha ha good idea, like I said I ordered the horn worms and silk worms so I will see my only downfall is they won't get here till next week. If I'm lucky. :(

Yeah I had the same situation but with my deremensis he has not eaten a cricket since I got him. Then I tried super worms and he ate them. Then a horned worm. He seems to like worms. Be patient but make sure he eats.

Okay cool I will have to find out, it's just a bummer because I live in an apartment so my cage set ups are in the living room. And he seems pretty shy, so sometimes when I walk by he will go hide ha ha, but I think he will come around. My Jackson is completely fine with it ha ha I feel like she watches tv with me ha ha ha

Hey ZM, Give him some time. Keep feeders from him for a few days. He also does not care for you to watch him eat. I had to watch him from a distance. He will eat horns and silks like no tomorrow. He will pick at crickets. Keep thuroughly spraying the cage 3 times a day. He will drink on his own. I rarely saw him drink. Hes a big shy veiled. :)

I know it can be stressful owning chameleon but i assure you. Get his husbandry right, give him a little time and the wind will be at your back. ;)

Thanks man! I'm so glad I got him, you sure did an amazing job with him!

Thanks! I seen the cage you built for him. I know he is in heaven right now, he is just overwhelmed with all the new things. He was in a cage directly behind my computer so he saw a good amount of traffic.

I really like that your attentive and watching him closely. Your going to be a great keeper for him!
