My girlfriend recently bought a female veiled chameleon and just reading a bit on this site I have realized we have made some mistakes. We are using coconut substrate and a mini water fall dish. We also have a humidifier for her. We have a 16x16x24 terrarium. I am thinking of building a new enclosure but not sure if a fully screen one is best. We live in northern B.C. Canada where in winter the house can get cold as well. I am pretty handy but just not sure what direction to go. We will go with a misting system in the new enclosure and already have the heat lamp and uv lamp. Not sure what we can get for real plants in our area but would like to put in new enclosure. Any thoughts?
