Hello,
I'm a new reptile owner and have been recently fascinated with Chameleons. I've been reading endlessly about enclosures, substrate, feeding, etc. and I'm finding a lot of conflicting information. I am hoping to get the best advise here. I have a bearded dragon..easy one, but am willing to do what it takes to try a chameleon. I'm looking at a male Panther and live in the northeast. My main question is what type of enclosure...exoterra, reptibreeze.. or any other advise please. Good place to start. Thanks in advance.:)

I would recommend any type of screen cage. We are located in PA and we keep all of our panthers in screen cages. I personally would recommend you check out Dragon Strand as their cages are top quality and you will be very happy with one of them.

The care sheets here are very comprehensive and created by experienced keepers. They will give a strong foundation and will clarify much of the misleading advice from other sources. As a side note, be critical of anything a pet store tells you - they are notorious for wrong information.

If you have any questions, this forum is very active and the people are great.

Welcome to the wonderful world of chameleons!!!
