New to this site but not the hobby

Hello all, my first Cham in over five years arrived in the mail this morning. He crawled out of the bag, and right onto my arm. Beautif colors, large size for his age and over all a very happy 1.0 Nosy Faly who has not been named yet. For anyone considering buying, I highly recommend the Chameleon Company and Jim Flaherty. Very knowledgeable and more than willing to answer all my questions and concerns. Once I can figure out how to post pictures from my iPhone I will post some as well. I'll certainly keep posting and reading the threads. Overall this is my 6th Cham, first panther. And probably my 20th reptile. I used to do rescues in the knoxville area, as well as interning at the zoo. I've probably forgotten more about various husbandry methods than some know

Thanks all. It's really always been my passion. Ive had leopard geckos , cresteds, bearded dragons, cornsnakes, ridge tail monitors. I love chameleons though, although I had only had veileds and successfully bred them before selling my collection and moving out. I'm back though and here to stay. My dream is to open an exotic pet store, in the front and a wholesale breeding warehouse in the back. Maybe this is step one? I sure hope so.

I sure will. One of my friends moms has a huge room for her herps, so at least I have someone locals brain to pick. There is one or two shops in the knoxville area that deals in herps but they won't buy anything during the winter months other than the few snakes and beardeds they breed. I was hoping to provide panthers, maybe dart frogs or something but I'm going to work on my panther project first. Hopefully one day I come into inheriting some money and can start a business like this. Although it seems people are only successful or moreover it's easier to do in Florida and the southwest where you don't have to keep so many UVB bulbs and sky high electric bills. If anyone here lives in east Tennessee I'd love to meet up and talk shop, or go to a show if there is anything close.

Is the cham's eye swollen or is it just me?

I noticed yesterday he was doing the thing were they blow up their eye to clear it out for whatever reason. Could be what you see. He hasn't done it today so he looks good to me.
