New to site/Reptarium

Hi, I am new to your site and so far it looks like it is going to be great! I just bought a new reptarium (65gallons) and had a bugger of a time putting it together. Is it supposed to be reaaaaaaaaally tight when it is new? When I put it in one way it was a couple inches short of closing so I turned it. Then it was very tight...lost some skin getting it in there. Now I want to put vines in and I am wondering if it is ok to wrap the ends around the pvc pipes...basically between the pvc pipe and the mesh. Will it rip it? It also had 3 plastic clamps of some kind and I assume they go on the pvc...but where and why? Unfortunately it came with really bad directions and I am a direction reading kinda gal. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh one more thing....will the mesh eventually stretch a little and loosen up? Looking at pictures of ads for reptariums they all look loser to me.

I have one I use for a intermediate cage, between baby and adult. I got it because it is collapsible and I could put it away when I didn't need it. I found it was extremely tight. I haven't taken it apart, so I don't know if it loosened up much. I also didn't know what those extra parts were for.

I guess I'm not much help except to confirm the tightness. I only use the one, the rest I use full aluminum screen cages. Maybe an avid reptarium user can help more.

The clips go on the top three edges that don't have the zipper to clamp the mesh down.

This was my cage for a while. I kept Jake in it till he was about 6 months. You can use zipties to hold the vines to the PVC if the vine is too large to fit between the mesh and tube.

This is how I made my cage drain.

did you make sure the pvc pipes were put together snuggly if they stick out even a bit it will cause you to have problems putting on the netting. also yes youu can put vines across the pvc it shouldnt be that tight though so somethings wrong and i think its the pvc that s not put together snuggly. your set up looks good though
