New to chameleons

I may be adopting a baby veiled soon. I want to make a custom enclosure and remembered i have this sitting in my garage...


Ill try to clear it out later and post a new picture. But does it seem suitable for an enclosure?

I am in the process of building a similar enclosure. Coming along very nicely. But it is becoming waaaay more expensive than I originally planned :-O

If you search, there are other people on these forums who have converted armoires and entertainment centers into enclosures and documented their builds. Just have to make sure that its; large enough, proper airflow, temps, water proof/resistant, cham safe, insect proof, and then something that I didn't think of till later in my build. Is my terrarium easy to clean? looks like its gonna be a pain in mah a**


Oh well it will be worth it, so I say DO IT My $0.02

Something that has helped during my build is putting it on lockable casters in the beginning. Makes moving it around to work on it is much easier

That thing might work. Depending on the cham, you need to find out if he height is good. If the height is too small, maybe some cool pygmies.

You will need to implement a drainage system as well, there's lots of different methods on this site.

The glass might need to be replaced with aluminum screen unless you want to add a fan for airflow.

Also, you will need to waterproof the inside.

If this seems to mutch right now, you can buy a cool little cage for it through DIYCages.com or a local store and work on this little by little until your cham gets big enough.
