new panther being shy or something wrong?

I just picked up my new 5 month old female panther from screameleons on friday afternoon and she was fine for the rest of friday and in the morning (She drank TONS and ate a few crickets) but on saturday she went to the lower plant in the cage where she gets no light barely. She has been there ever since and is now in the very back corner. Its a low traffic area, my bedroom, and the ambient temps are about 73 f.. Any ideas why shes hiding like this? just adjusting?

She's probably just getting adjusted to the new environment. However, 5 months old is not too young to lay eggs. It would probably be a good idea to get a laying bin in there as soon as possible. Even if it's not happening now, it could happen soon.

If she's new and she's eating and drinking then it probably is nothing to worry about. You'll almost certainly see her exploring more (and hanging around near her uv bulb :)) in the next few days.
