Hi all im new to the forum, from the uk

Looks really good here

Im a new owner of a young veiled,

I Have a question about the viv i was sold with the chameleon its an exo terra, all glass with vent in the front, and a mesh top, this what was i recommended, but since reading on the web have found that they are not ideal, and all mesh is better

Is this setup going to cause the chameleon any problems? i can get some pics up if needed, im a bit confused in why i was sold this viv when i even saw all mesh ones on the shop? any help would be appreciated,:)

In the UK glass and wood enclosures Are used with great success because of the weather. However, when he or she is older you will need a bigger cage. The new cage just needs good air flow like the exo Terra.

If you think you can keep the temp and humidity up in a screen one, buy a 18x18x36 if you have a female, and a 24x24x48 if you have a male.

Yeah but guess what, us folk in the NE have colder weather than in the UK and we still use screen cages we just have to be a lttle more careful that's all. I would not keep any of my chams in a glass cage at all. Too much chance for a URI. Not enough ventilation.

Do I really need to post a link to Chris Anderson's thread? Glass is fine people!

I would like to say that not all glass is fine, only well ventilated terrariums are fine. Aquariums are not.
