New owner...watering question

Hey guys,
So I have been giving my cham shower sessions because he was pretty dehydrated when I rescued him from a pretty bad living situation I got him a drip system because he wasn't doing well with a misting system. I have the drip system in place now and he is kind of just staring at it. I noticed he shot his tongue out at the water but I was wondering how long it should take for him to get used to it? Any advice is appreciated!

Welcome to the forums and congrats on your new guy. What kind of chameleon do you have? Any pictures? I mist my guys for a pretty long time, three minutes at least and them drip them. The misting gets them in the mood to drink and then they drink for a good long while after the misting.
