Hey everyone, I am new to chameleons and I figured the best way to get started was joining this forum and get some tips and tricks.

Before anyone asks, I have not gotten a chameleon yet, however, I have been lurking on various forums and doing as much research as I possibly can before purchasing. I have even gone so far as to start a cage for him/her whenever we get it.

We (my girlfriend and I) are not new to reptiles or amphibians, we are however new to chameleons specifically. So having said that, any good advice is welcome.

As far as species of chameleons I have been considering, I have been looking into Senegals, Flapnecks, and Gracefuls. I have heard about the fact that they are wild-caught and can have issues, but what I have not found hardly info is if anyone captive breeds any of these species.

Again, I am new to chameleons, so be gentle, yet helpful.

Thanks, Slug

I would recommend veiled or panther chams becuase of their hardiness. If u have a specific question feel free to ask. Any member on here will be willing to answer. I don't know about the chams u want, but I'm pretty sure there r cb's. Oh, and welcome to the forums!!!

It's rather hard to find cb senegals but I'm not sure about gracefuls or flap necks but I know a few people who breed flaps. Any chameleon is good I start with as long as you do all the research for them.
