Welcome! If you haven't already found it, the Raising Kitty site contains a lot of good information; it is written about a veiled chameleon, but the info is generally applicable to panther chameleons as well. Veileds and panthers are comparatively big, colorful and hardy; they're easy to come by captive bred and are good first chameleons. Look around these forums and the member's blogs (e.g. sandrachameleon's). There are many good books out there with basic chameleon background. Again, welcome, and let us know if you have any specific questions!

If you look up on youtube Karmasamtitan you can see some examples of enclosures and neat feeding videos. (yes its my channel.)

cool cant tell u how much i apreciate every lil bit. so would anyone say tht exo terra 18by18by24 is not a suitible place 4 a baby to get to 5 mounths old n thers vents on it and so nice looking and a good deal. and wht brand and demensions does a big male need and wht is the largest screen cage i should get like i kno how u can get to small of a cage can u get to big?

As far a screen enclosures for an adult the largest that you can afford and house is always preferable. For a male panther adult 24x24x48 is a good size. It is generally recommended to use a screen enclosure for the little ones too but if you have problems with keeping the humidity up an Exo Terra with proper venting will work. Just make sure that it dries out completely between mistings to avoid respiratory issues and fungus growth.
