New Enclosure

We have a new enclosure which we're going to set up today.

Dimensions - 76 x 42 x 122 cm / 30" x 16.5" x 48

We currently have 2 x UV tubes and 1 x bulb (for heat). Do we need to buy extra bulbs for heat or will it heat an enclosure this size?

What kind of UB lamps are you using? and what kind of ambient temps do you keep in your home?

Also... what kind of cham?

Hello,

The UV is 2 long 10.0 tubes and the room temp can vary but at the moment during summer is quite warm. And she's a veiled.

2 UV lights might be a bit much and depending on what kind of screen your using the 10.0s might also be too strong. 5.0s are recommended for normal screen unless your cage is so big the basking spot is 20 inches from the light. 10.0s are used for cages that have the thick plastic screen like what's found on flexariums and very large enclosures.

Hi pure,

The UV is actually quite far away from the basking spot. Also it sits quite far above the mesh so that the mesh doesn't get too hot incase she decideds to climb. It is rather a big tank!!
