New chimaira edition: Chameleons of Africa !

Has anyone put his hands in this book yet ?

Really sounds like a new important addition even if pricey, 750 pages and 480 illustrations!

Description:

Chameleons form a distinctive part of African biodiversity, and Colin has travelled to all parts of the continent to search for them. He has described 10 new species and three new genera, as well as transformed our knowledge of their distribution and evolutionary relationships. For these studies he was awarded the 2004 Stephenson Hamilton Medal by the South African Zoological Society for outstanding contributions to Southern African zoology. Due to the quality of his photography his pictures are always in great demand. Finally,with the culmination of nearly 30 years of study, the Atlas of African Chameleons is born.It is beautiful illustrated with the author's photography, and filled with a comprehensive and accurate text. This book hasn't been published yet and there is currently not an expected date on its publication either. I too am looking forward to it but we'll have to wait a while yet I believe.

Looks like a great book! Too bad we can't get it .

Zoo Book Sales has a placeholder on their website for it. I called the people at: http://www.zoobooksales.com/ and they said books like that get announced months or even years in advance of their English publishing. They have no date yet or a price. I had them put me on the wait-list though .

when I wrote too chimaira in january the said that it would´nt be publised before minimum june ! they said that Colin had some last minute changes too the book....


I can´t wait too get my claws in that book!
