I have a few questions, I am a proud new owner of a 6 month old female Panther Chameleon. We have had her for 10 days now. I am a vet tech at a small animal practice (dogs and cats only) and I just want to make sure I am doing everything I can to make sure she is comfortable and being well cared for.

Signalment: Panther Chameleon, Female, 6 months old
Diet: Currently she is only eating roaches, dusted with vitamin powder. That is what she was fed at the breeders. She is eating about 7 a day, all in the morning. Does this seem like a good amount? I also wanted to start adding a variety to her diet. What would be some insects/worms that she would like and benefit from?
Habitat: She is currently in an Exo Terra Medium extra-tall terrarium with coco husk substrate. I have some spider wood, a feeding rock, a water bowl on the bottom (helps with humidity), and several plastic greens. She seems to like it, and temps are around 95 about 5 inches from the heat light in the terrarium. I also have a misting system that goes off for about 2-3 mins every 8 hours. Are there specific branches/wood I should use or can I use anything? I ask because we have some very cool locus wood that we want to build a climbing tower for her, will that would be ok or is that a bad idea?
Lighting: UV-A and B lighting and a heating black light. Day lights are only on for about 12 hours a day and the heating black light is on at all times.
Coloring: SO MANY QUESTIONS! When she is getting misted on or being handled she is a light color, she is not scared of us at all and is very social. We have not been handling her much because we want her to get as cozy as possible in her new home. But when she is basking or just relaxing she gets dark. Am I doing something wrong? Or is this just her coloring? I don’t want to be stressing her out. Any thoughts?
I will also post as many pictures of her and her colors as well as her habitat. Please let me know any thoughts! Like I said I am new to this and any information helps!
