I have a new baby veiled (male) and I'd like to get your thoughts on his setup.

Your Chameleon - Veiled - Baby Male
Handling - He shot up my arm when I bought him, that's it.
Feeding - Crickets & Waxworms, free roaming right now but am working on cup feeding. He's not figured out the cup thing yet.
Supplements - Calcium w/ D3, Calcium w/o d3 and herptivite twice a week.
Watering - Manual misting, 3 times a day for 2 minutes, dripper too.

u need 2 more supplement.
one multivitamin (i.e: herptivite) twice a week
one calcium without D3 (i.e: Repcal no D3 or MinerAll 0) twice a week
One day no dusting.

Very small supplement should be used.
Crickets should not change color when dusted.

Aside then from that, does it look like I have enough foliage? There's a tonne of branches & sticks behind the two live plants and there are 3 fake vines on the back.

BTW: When should I start feeding veggies?

well i have a juvi 5 months and i mix her crickets with Romanian lettuce so as she shots for the crickets she gets a piece of veggie. She likes it i can tell. try that and if he doesn't like it maybe because he is a little to young but its worth a shot. Hope this helps

I would add more foliage, baby chams love to be able to hide, buy a Schefflera arboricola, very dense and and a pretty cheap plant from lowes/home depot

Just as a recommendation, perhaps you should get one more plant that somewhat gave a bit more foliage in the middle part (especially at the bottom area of that tall tree on the left.
And, make sure the basking spot is clear of any obstruction such as foliage etc.. Leaves can block uvb as well. So, usually you want a bit of clearing on the top so your chameleon can bask and receive uvb without getting blocked by anything.

You do not HAVE to feed your chameleon veggies ever. My veiled never eat veggies at all. I offered some for him, but he always refuse. Hence, I no longer offer him veggies. He is strictly insectivores..

My veiled just eats his plants. Would munch on the ficus occasionally, but since the hibiscus went in he really goes to town on it. If he wants greenery, he'll eat the plants, then you know when to put stuff in.

A good ficus would fill it out and provide great hiding spots for a young veiled.

My guy will just eat his plants if he fancies it. He loves vitis vinifera leaves (grape vine). And will just destroy any grapes that start growing. He also eats hibiscus and camellia from time to time. Not particularly often, but you can always see the triangle marks at where he's taken a nice bight out of a leaf!

If this is your first cham it looks like a good start!

More Foliage It Is!

Thanks for all the help! Here's his new diggs.

I couldn't find an umbrella plant or a ficus in the local home depots or rona but did find another habiscus that I really like and check the flowers coming up.
