New cage arrived!!

Karma's new cage arrived 5 minutes ago! And WOW! She isnt gonna know what to do with all that room and fresh air and what a palace it will be.....
I just have to wait until naptime for the daycare kids to unpack and assemble.

I know! I have the plants all repotted! I have the plastic plants and vine! We have everything but the cage....... but NOW that is here! YAHOO


Just have to wait until Noon to unpack......

What should we do with Karma while we are transferring stuff from old cage to new cage? We are using her branches, etc. in her new cage.
I was thinking about taking one of my hanging pothos and hanging it low and letting her climb on it supervised with a lamp over it for basking while we work. Think that would work?
Eventually we want to get one of those spring explorarium net cages and have an extra branch, etc. to put her in for cleanings, etc.

Yeah I usually just use a spare plant for mine to hang out on while i clean. Or i put them in the shower on a plant for 10-15 min while i clean cages. Its a good oppurtunity to give them a shower while they are out and being handled anyway.

The shower part sounds good. Do you just turn the water on so it mists in there or do you have the water on them? I thought you werent to mist them directly, etc?
Plus, then I could lock her in the bathroom vs. trying to lock up my crazy cat while she is out of her cage.

I have an adjustable shower head with the hose attachment deal. So i set mine to the lightest misting setting. I turn my water to a tepid/lukewarm temp just above room temperature. I try to place the plant so that half is in the spray and the other half isnt. So he can sit under the water til hes had enuff and then move away. Hope that makes sense.

I was thinking of installing a plant in the shower area anyways BEFORE we got Karma.... now I am thinking of installing it and have it on an adjustable chain so it can up at ceiling height most of the time but lower it for her when we need to use it!

Hmmmm, another project for hubby!LOL

Great idea. I wish i could do that. I will be moving to a new home soon so i will have to wait til then.
