New Cage and such!

Hi everyone,

I've been researching for monthes and finally have everything set up for my new cham I'll be getting from Julirs. :)

I just wanted to get the critique of how my cage is. Its an 18x18x36. Within the next month or so I'll be getting the 24x24x48 and using the smaller one as a sunning cage on our porch. I'm currently taking test of the temps in there so thats what the little white thing is in the front. Thanks for any input!

The plants I'm using are a croton, hibiscus and a pothos. The light is the Reptisun 5.0 18", and just a regular house bulb for basking.

Just double checking, right now in the main basking part its about 82 degrees, is that too high, too low, okay? lol. Just wanna make sure its ready before anything actually goes in it :p

right now just a 60 watt, i havent gotten the cham yet, just taking the temps to make sure its right. I can certainly buy a higher watt.

At least there isn't an error with the lizard in your care. Good job trying things out Before you had the lizard.

Very, very true.

I have a guy from the same clutch, really great animals. Enclosure looks great. Beware that hibiscus will die if not put outside every once and awhile. I had one and it didn't last two weeks. Switched it out with a umbrella tree and I have to cut it back every couple weeks.

LOL good note to self for my black thumb. Once or more a week hibiscus gets to go outside. Thanks for the advice!!

But, they would if you could fertilize them, but you can't because the Chameleon would get sick.
