Alright, picked up a pair of high trans two weeks ago at the hamburg show...just couldnt pass up the price. The female had what looked like a burn on her lower jaw and few little dots on her back. Iv'e dealt with burns before but it doesnt seem to be healing. The 'burnt' skin is shedding but the shed is super hard to get off and she has lost a few little scales. it doesnt appear like any kind of 'rot'. It doesn't seem to affect her in any way and it doesnt seem to hurt. One more thing, never seen this before. She was a little shaky when I got her but after calcium and vitamins for a week she was lookin healthy as ever and has doubled her size. But when she is handled or gets too stressed out she seems to get a little shaky in her limbs? Has anybody seen this before, maybe neuro idunno?

will post up pics later today, camera is dead(CHARGING)

A burn on the lower jaw isn't all that likely (you'd tend to see a burn on the upper body or top of the head), but she could have a skin rub or sore from caging. Have you put anything on the "burn"? A triple antibiotic or Silvadene will prevent infection, keep the area clean and moist to help it heal. Sheds from scarred scabby areas are harder to get off.

I don't know anything about these trans chams. There's likely a lot of inbreeding and mutation involved so I wouldn't be surprised if some skin sensitivities exist too. They may be much more sensitive to burning because of the lack of pigment.

She may be trying to do the "leaf shaking in the breeze" display when she's being held. Many chams rock, shake, wobble to appear less like an animal when they feel exposed to a threat.

Well she likes to hang upside down alot, even when I bought her she was upside down. so i figured 'burn' i have put triple antibiotic on it and kept it pretty clean. Nothing really seems to be helping. As for the shaking, its not the 'leaf defensive shake' all my chams do that. its more of a shake as if she was freezing. like a more sperradic trembling shake but only in her legs.. She is direct from FLchams so I don't think she's really inbred. Dunno, wish you could post up vids.
